Pantone's Colors for 2021
For over 20 years, Pantone’s Color of the Year has had major influence in the design world, including fashion, home furnishings, and industrial design, as well as product packaging and graphic design.
The Pantone Color of the Year selection process requires thoughtful consideration and trend analysis. To arrive at the selection each year, Pantone’s color experts at the Pantone Color Institute comb the world looking for new color influences. The entertainment industry, new artists, fashion, travel destinations, all areas of design, as well as new lifestyles, playstyles, and socio-economic conditions are all areas of inspiration. New technologies, materials, textures, and effects that impact color, global events, and relevant social media platforms also play a role in the selection process.
This year Pantone has selected two colors for 2021, ‘Ultimate Grey’ and ‘Illuminating’
