Celebrating the Completion of Sorrentino’s Compassion House Addition
With creativity, hard work, and big hearts, the Sorrentino’s Compassion House addition is now complete! We are incredibly grateful to have contributed to this remarkable home away from home.
Designing a Functional Kitchen Space
The design process mirrored that of our day-to-day clients, with the unique challenge of accommodating 1 to 20+ people cooking simultaneously. To address this, we created:
Multiple Cooking and Prep Stations: Ensuring everyone has space to work efficiently.
Three Refrigerators and Two Freezers: Providing ample storage for food supplies.
Generous Pantry Storage: Keeping ingredients organized and accessible.
Abundant Counter Space: Allowing for seamless meal preparation.
In addition to the kitchen, we also designed a cozy coffee bar and lockers for guests to store their jackets and personal items. Features like soft-close drawers and durable surfaces were selected for longevity and ease of use, resulting in a fantastic space!
Supporting the Community
Having been part of the original Sorrentino’s Compassion House, it was essential for us to continue supporting this initiative as they assist women and men through their diagnosis, treatment, and recovery from breast cancer. We’re thrilled to say the entire project was a huge success!
A Glimpse into the New Kitchen
Here are a few snapshots of the finished kitchen:
